Horizontal Pumps with Magnetic Drive
MPC standardized chemical pump
 
Leaving behind conventional concepts, our design and application engineers have developed a completely new generation of non-metallic magnetically coupled pumps.

Applications:
The MPC is the solution of choice for pumping fluids posing an environmental or health hazard such as acids, alkalis, solvents or high-value products in the presence or in the absence of solids.

Construction:
Horizontal centrifugal pump with volute casing;
casing dimensions, fitting dimensions and design to EN 22858/ISO 2858/ISO 5199;
complemented by size 40-25-125 and 40-25-160 pumps.

Total differential head: up to 80 m
Operating temperature [t]: -20°C up to +150 °C
Operating pressure [p]: up to 16 bar
Diameter of discharge nozzle: DN 25 up to DN 65
Drive rating [P]: up to 30 kW

Materials
 
The magnetically coupled pumps are available in PP, PVDF as well as in universally chemical-resistant PFA.

Spacer can
The spacer can is designed as a metal-free double-wall unit consisting of an outer shell and a separate spacer can liner. Essentially, this offers the following advantages:

No eddy currents and hence, no heat transfer to the fluid pumped.

No energy losses and hence, no efficiency losses
The wetted spacer can liner is manufactured from pure PFA, the outer pressure-tight can shell is made of carbon fibre-reinforced plastics. Thanks to its unique construction the spacer can is extremely rigid and can reliably absorb internal pressures of up to 30 bar.

Plain bearing
The standard construction material for the plain bearing is EKasic®C. This advanced silicon carbide features unsurpassed corrosion and wear resistance. Even our standard bearing model can tolerate temporary dry running or lubricant shortage.

The impeller is keyed to the shaft and is therefore bi-directional and unaffected by inadvertent reverse rotation.
